When thrown this grenade slowly releases cryogenic gas.
Use: Throw a gas grenade to the ground where it remains for 10 turns, releasing cryogenic gas that deals 3-14 cold damage per turn (depending on the gas concentration) to anyone standing in, and applies Chill debuff which decreases target's movement points by 10 for 4 turns. It stacks up to 3 times. It also causes hypothermia which reduces target's constitution by 1. This effect stacks up to 5 times and lasts up to 24 turns. After hypothermia reaches maximum stacks, the target may become frozen for 2 turns. (AP: 15; Cooldown: 4 turns)

UHI-X-400 pesticide gas grenade. When thrown it slowly releases a gas which is composed of a strong weed-killing herbicide and an even stronger insecticide. Does not leave any toxic residual matter.
Use: Throw a gas grenade to the ground where it remains for 10 turns, releasing toxic herbicidal gas that deals 6-27 Bio damage per turn (depending on the gas concentration) to anyone standing in it and one third that damage to those passing through it. Does 300% damage to insectoids and bypasses their poison resistance. (AP: 15; Cooldown: 4 turns)

Gas Grenades are slow-acting grenades. They release gas slowly over 10 turns (or 50 seconds) and it dissipates slowly after that. The gas clouds deal damage to anyone standing in it or walking through it. The damage dealt depends on the type of grenade, gas concentration and whether the target was standing still or moving through the gas.
- Toxic Gas Grenade: Toxic Gas deals Bio damage and contaminates targets, increasing all damage taken by 10% and stacking up to 20 times, leading to 200% increase in all damage taken.
- Cryogas Grenade: Cryogas deals Cold damage and initially causes Chill which progresses to Hypothermia and Frozen.
- Psimorphic Biocide Grenade: special plot-related gas grenades created from unique substance.
- Pesticide Gas Grenade E: Pesticide Gas is a combination of strong herbicide and even stronger insecticide.
- Chemhaze Grenade: Chemhaze gas reduces chance to hit with both ranged and melee weapons.
Gas grenades are special grenades and do not share their cooldown with other grenades.
