You need to test an experimental acid weapon. What could go wrong?
Objectives
- Principal Investigator Georgis needs you to help him field test an experimental chemical pistol - XAL-001. Use the pistol in combat until you are sure there are no problems with its design and then return to Georgis.
Walkthrough
Use XAL-001 Pistol in combat until it malfunctions. Despite Georgis suggesting that you should test it on Faceless, you can test it on cave hoppers, target dummies or anything you want. With a high enough Mechanics and Chemistry skill (80 effective skill in both) and through dialog with Georgis when he hands you the prototype, you can tell him what is wrong with the weapon without needing to fire a single shot. If the player no longer has the XAL-001 in their inventory they may claim the device self-destructed or was simply discarded allowing you to keep the weapon, you still must have experienced the weapon malfunctioning to claim this.
