Once you have earned Foundry's mayor's trust, he'll tell you more about the situation in the mines and the rock creatures.
Objectives
- Learn more about the strange creatures that inhabit Foundry's mine. You might need help from a biologist.
- Find a way to stop the big creature that, along with its smaller cousins, threatens Foundry. Start by going to the mine and talking to Marcos, the mining supervisor, and Saban, a guard that survived the encounter with the Beast.
Walkthrough
SGS's biologist, Quinton, can help you. You'll need to bring him a Capturer Borer in a Dog Crate. He discovers that the creatures have usually high psionic readings, and directs you to Ezra.
Ezra in turn needs a piece of the creatures once he has examined the borer. You can either kill a Bladeling or use a Jackhammer to mine one of the many chomium rock deposits in the Crystal Caves deep in Foundry's mines to get an Impure Cromium Blade. After you bring that to Ezra, he can tell you more and reveal a potential weakness in The Beast: extreme heat.
Once you know the Beast's weakness, return to Foundry's mayor and suggest using the furnaces to melt the Beast. Mayor won't like the idea of luring the Beast inside Foundry, and you'll have to find another way to deal with it.
