Styg nerfed the spec stoicism + aegis + morphine combo by patching in a hard cap for mechanical resistance at 95%.

With the low HP to maintain SI it's very possible to get paper cut to death.

OP I would have applaud you but smited you instead since you said you want to farm negative karma.

blast cloth stacks with evasion, just watch out for shrapnel from frags

Keep in mind if you take 0 heat damage you won't get the buff.

There's an alternative way of buffing yourself w/ Demolition Man.

Just build a Mangonel long barrel GL with the lowest quality frame you could find (~ 20ish from SGS vendor, or get disassemble and lower the quality down to 15) and use it for buffs.

Another tip - if you are not wearing Launcher Grenade Strap Belt (it only reduces reload cost by 50% so it's not that good), just get Quick pocket and switch to another fully loaded GL from inventory using 25AP. You can buff youself w/ the aforementioned Mangonel long barrel and then switch it out.

Overall I would say LMG is way easier and more powerful than GL. Still waiting for the alleged minigun rebalance as it's all style, no substances.

Correction: just opened up my GL save - you can lower the quality of a frame down to 1 using disassemble. A quality 1 Mangonel long barrel GL base damage is 28-57 (if you are getting Gun Nut - make sure to craft this before you get it). I think 15 is the lowest possible frame quality spawn by loot/vendor.

Suggestions / Metal plate quality upgrade by using Gloria

As title, required two metal plate of same type and return one metal plate of higher quality by using Gloria. For some build super steel isn't the ideal metal armor type. Basically allow player to get higher quality Tichrome and Tungsten plates.

General / Is there any situation where minigun is better than LMG

So, been pretty busy - was only able to play heavy duty a bit at a time.

Now that I cleared it - is there any situation where minigun is better than LMG? I honestly couldn't think of any - LMG can be crafted as low as 25AP per burst while minigun can only go as low as 40AP. Ignoring how awkward trying to fit 40AP with your AP pool - 40/25 = 1.6 ... can't think of any situation where minigun is 60% stronger than LMG.

Thoughts?

As title, I'm not sure if it's just black overcoat or any overcoat. Minigun sprite will show up while wearing tact.vest without any overcoat.

I think it's very unlikely Epeli will update his builder.
Although I do find it strange Styg is not releasing his builder to ensure everything are under his control. I mean, majority of build shared online (here, steam, reddit, etc) are shared using Epeli's builder so one can argue a builder is pretty damn important to the game.

The latest DLC comes with new skills and feats. The previously pinned thread for underrail.info no longer exists and it seems like its creator, epeli, is no longer active in this forum.

Question to Stygiansoftware: Is there any plan to release an official version of Underrail character builder, which btw greatly enhance the underrail game experience? If yes, great - any estimated timeline? If no, in my honest opinion I think it would be worthwhile for Stygiansoftware to develop and release one.

P.S: Something similar should be part of Underrail: Infusion as well.

Heavy Duty will be a day 1 purchase for me of course.

I hope Styg is using this opportunity to test new infusion mechanic as well as experiment with better sound effect. I understand Underrail was started years ago and some of the sound effect are fine for what they are at the time. It just that the sound effect, especially for firearm, should be taken to the next level (more thump, i.e.: Sniper Rifle should give you a thunderous boom instead of sounding like a semi-auto rifle/airsoft gun).

You can craft shock combat gloves that deal extra electrical damage. Bare fist don't have the option. Both will need expose weakness against high tier robots like Naga and Industrial bot.

I would say all melee weapons have some sort of weakness. High DEX melee build can eliminate their weakness by taking Versatility feat (W2C ammo, acid chem pistol). Otherwise your options are the usual grenades, traps and caltrops.

Just finished a classic dominating game w/ a modified version of OP's build:

- As I suspected Force Emission is not needed nor, imho, optimal for bare fist build
- Build struggle hard during the early game, than became strong in most fights once you have bladed metal armor + 4AP punch + Tfb (+50% damage at max stack). However, this build is frustrating weak in fights against non-organic (robots - you are better off using shocked Tichrome sledgehammer + lifting belt) and on Jetski (you are better off using TiChrome Spear).
- Overall I would say any type of bare fist build is not for new players and should be treated as a gimmick/self-challenge build.

Unarmed based crit chance = 5%
Focus Stim = 15%
Hardcore chips = 5%
Crit chance from 12 DEX = 7%

Total crit chance = 32%

@4AP per punch bone breaker proc chance is actually pretty good, especially against Boss mob on Dominating, same thing w/ Vile weaponry.

Lastly strongly agree this is really down to personal preference. I prefer to kill things as quickly as possible (drop dodge to 40 to put points in Bio, etc) as Underrail strongly rewards offence over defense. But increase defense w/ better armor + dodge/evasion + shield would work too.
