Core City Underground is a natural cave area accessible from west Core City Sewers after the warehouse events in Core City.
Description
First area of the caves has some pipeworks leaking green mutagen and shacks inhabited by Mutants, just like the ones encountered in Depot A. Going deeper east into the caves leads into a large cave filled with spiderwebs and Coil Spiders waiting for prey to walk into their webs. Deepest part of the cave ends in the lower level of Coretech warehouse, just below Core City Lower Level.
Leaking pipes
- The western exit leads to Core City Sewers, area Sewers west, cave entrance
- The eastern exit leads to area Spider caves
- Has several roaming Mutants, Mutated Dogs and Hunchback Mutants
- Many pipes in the area are leaking gas that causes bio damage and gives the Contaminated status
- A barrel outside the central shed contains an Empty Mutagen Container oddity, 2 XP
- There's a respawning Cave Ear in the SE corner
- On the north wall, a locked box (80 Hacking needed) contains several Medium Frequency Shield Modulator components
- On the west wall is a locked box (75 Hacking needed) containing some crafting components
