Utility Tower is a location in Upper Underrail.

Description

It is accessible from the Eos Complex metro station in Upper Underrail. There's a ladder leading to it in the northwest storage room.

Level 1

• The NE can be accessed with a hidden 4 Agility passage, or by opening the door using the console in the spider room
• The SE room:
  • Is inhabited by several Coil Spiders and Greater Coil Spiders
  • The console opens the door to the second level (by selecting the option "Access to H__ towwr")
• There is a hidden (need Perception) ventilation shaft in the north room which leads to area Level 2

Upper levels

One level bellow the saving disabled zone there is the Breathing Tank Regulator oddity in a box near a glitched terminal. One of the upper levels contains a room with numerous empty lockers as well as an elevator shaft that takes the player all the way down to the first level. After the dungeon boss is defeated 2 new restless corpses appear: near the elevator shaft that takes the player all the way down to the first level that contains the Antifreeze Protein Injector oddity one level before the boss fight near a bonfire that must be lit in order for the corpse to become an interactable and give the player Warm Trapper Hat

Final level

The final level contains a boss fight, the boss is a slow moving apparition that shoots ice shards at the player and can inflict the shattered will debuff in melee. The bost is impposible to damage and in order to defeat it, the player must navigate a square room with no exits, approach 6 different restless corpses in each corner of the room and provide them with medical assistance by choosing the correct dialogue options. The task is made harder by the ice that fills the room after each correct answer, the time not stopping during the dialogue, the Shattered Will debuff that is inflicted when the player choses the wrong answer. There are 8 restless corpses in total, 2 don't require medical assistance and must be left alone. The correct options are: Offer mildly warm non-alcoholic drinks only. Move it away slowly. Remove its wet clothes only. "Up to the north." Heat up neck, chest and groin parts. Keep them upright and awake. Defeating the boss rewards the player with Beyond Cold feat

Enemies and other hazards

• There is a constant Frigid Environment debuff in that area, making you more vulnerable to cold
• The majority of the enemies are frozen and there's no need to fight them
• Coil Spiders and Greater Coil Spiders
• Death Stalkers

• ghost crawlers and coil spiders that inflict Shattered Will debuff (upper levels)
