Utility Facility is a dungeon in Core City.
Description
An old, abandoned utility section facility located under Core City. It is most notable for being hideout of Phreak, a wanted hacker.
It can be accessed by using the ladder entrance in the south-west map of the Middle Level of Core City (14 effective Perception), finding a hidden entrance behind the pipes in the Utility section of the Core City underpassages (11 effective Perception or activated night vision mode of the Night Vision Goggles required) or getting in Motion 6 times.
Utility Section 1
- NW room behind the metal door:
- reach down with 7 Dexterity to gain some scraps and a Shield Capacitor
- reach down with 7 Dexterity to gain some scraps and two Advanced Electronic Repair Kits
- has a hidden junk pile (7 Perception required) containing good quality TiChrome Spikes and a Boot Spring
- Door to the east leads to Utility Section 1 passage, can be unlocked by completing Phreak's questline
- West exit leads to Utility Section 2
- South exit leads to Core City passages
Utility Section 2 lower floor
- Inhabited by Coil Spiders and Greater Coil Spiders
- NE room can be unlocked by turning on tesla coil in the NE corner of the upper floor. It has shelves with random good quality metal plates
- Room to the south of the Utility Section 1 entrance can be unlocked by turning on tesla coil in the SE corner of the upper floor. It has shelves with good quality High Density Foam Padding and Aluminized Cloth
- Turning on tesla coil near the Utility Section 1 entrance unlocks the door to central room on the upper floor
- Turning on tesla coil in the middle unlocks the door to room immediately to the north
- Turning on tesla coil in the SW corner unlocks the door to room immediately to the north. The room has lockers with good quality Ceramic Plate and Kevlar Cloth
- Turning on tesla coil in the NE corner unlocks the door to Phreak's hideout on the upper floor
- Turning on tesla coil in the south unlocks the door to the southern room on the upper floor
- East exit leads to Utility Section 1
- Trapdoor leads to Core City Sewers, can be only unlocked by Phreak depending on his attitude to the player
- Stairs lead to Utility Section 2 upper floor
Utility Section 2 upper floor
- Inhabited by Coil Spiders and Greater Coil Spiders
- Doors to Phreak's hideout can be unlocked by NE tesla coil in the lower floor
- Southern room can be unlocked by turning on southern tesla coil in the lower floor. It has a hidden bag (8 Perception required) containing random good quality knife
- Central room can be unlocked by turning on southern tesla coil near the Utility Section 1 entrance in the lower floor. It has a locker with Galvanic Anti-Rifle Overcoat and a desk with Random Luxury Item
- Turning on tesla coil in NE corner unlocks the door to NE room on the lower floor
- Turning on tesla coil in SE corner unlocks the door to the room south of the Utility Section 1 entrance on the lower floor
- There is a barrel in the SW corner with a good quality Energy Edge Emitter
- Box near Phreak has two EMP Grenades Mk II
- Stairs lead to Utility Section 2 lower floor
- Ladder near Phreak's hideout leads to Core City Middle Level
Utility Section passage
- There is an Industrial Robot in the southern room and two Death Stalkers hiding in the eastern passage
- Southern room:
- Dead mechanic has Lifting Belt, Steel Boots, Work Coverall, Pneumatic Reloader and an Omni-Tool
- Modified Industrial Robot has Chainsword unique melee weapon, high quality Incendiary Collector and some Napalm C
- Hidden plasma cell (10 Perception required) contains a Plasma Cell and a Plasma Core
- There is a shelf with a random bladed melee weapon
- Locker (70 Lockpicking required) contains Gas Mask and Biohazard Boots
- Reach down with 7 Dexterity to gain some scraps and a high quality Circular Wave Amplifier
- Reach down with 7 Dexterity to gain some scraps and a high quality Seeker Lens
- Medical locker behind the fence in the SE corner contains random medical items
- Door to the west leads to Utility Section 1
- SE exit leads to Coretech Research Facility and Abomination's Lair in Core City Sewers
