Fend is a feat and special ability.
Feat
Fend | |
Grants you an ability to immediately gain Spear Guard that can block 150% more damage than normal for the action point cost of regular attack. Cooldown: 2 turns. | |
Requirements |
- Block chance from different sources does not stack. Each block chance is rolled separately against blockable attacks.
- Multiple different blocks can trigger against a single attack, in which case their amount blocked stacks additively.
- Sources of block:
- Riot Shield (35-55%) (See also Shield Arm, Shield Bash, Boarding Up)
- Spear Guard (50-100%) (See also Fend, Spear Guardian)
- Parry (25-96%) (See also Riposte)
- Guard (35-45%)
- Boxing Gloves (15-100%)
- Cryo-shield (50%)

Grants Spear Guard status effect with 150% increase to blocked damage. Using this ability does not destealth the user.
Specializations
- Fend: Action Point Cost (5 levels) — Reduces the action point cost by 8% for each specialization point.
- Fend: Block Amount (10 levels) — Increases the bonus amount of damage blocked by 10% for each specialization point.
