Don't want supersteel 'cause it's extra 5% armor penalty, and it's already 75 mechanical treshold vs bullets with Laminated q183 and psi beetle carapace. Not getting shot any often, and melee attacks are being avoided altogether.

Its always about preference. Mobility VS DT. I remember my SS psi vest was like 42 DT with 270%. And I was glad to have that much vs pirates, cause hits around 120-150 were not rare. Of course Armour penalty was 45 (as far as I remember). But I had no dodge/evasion so well worth it.

I understand, just people using builds generally need more directions and its easy to take tunsten amour and be more of a solid rock.
Hint: try spikes on sledge and super slam ;)

STR could lower AP required to shoot, in similar way how light weapons use DEX. That would be interesting. You would still need PER to hit/increase damage. Or go versatility ;)

With armour penalty around 50% (very likely), your dodge and evasion will be of very marginal use. Might be worth considering going full leather, to focus on mobility instead. You should also put more specifics into craftable gear if you want people to use your guide, for example what metal and attachments use etc.

Also given mediocre STR, this build will struggle on higher difficulties. Will be fine for normal/hard.

Cone is quite small for current burst and its very random/unreliable. Works fine for like 5-7 bullets. But if we approach 15-20 teritory you want to spread them out more.

That would make it a shotgun basically. I was more hoping for multiple targets selection, where you could (for example) select up to 5 targets in a cone, and each target would get 3-4 bullets at them, with some bullets from the burst lost in transition between targets. This would be more deterministic than shotgun random spread.

I hope LMG/Minigun will allow us to control burst somehow, to spread it in an angle across several enemies. If I shoot 15-20 bullets at a single person it will be 99% waste. Unless it does SMG numbers ...

Seems like stupid build for sake of spid to be frank. There is no synergy, no novelty idea. Just a thing that toddler put together cause he thought it would be funny.

And to prove the point - White black eels quest requires you to go through air vent, its already opened. 8 STR is meaningless.

Each build has its pros and cons. Generally everything is viable if built decently. Even on DOM most decent build works with patience and player skill.

For higher difficulties, high mobility is meta, tanking in tin armour is way harder there. But doable.

For melee weapons
- Swords are high risk high reward, generally paired with TM.
- Spears are versatile weapons, that offer decent range and spear throw can be deadly. Usually paired with MT or TM.
- Fists are hared to get going but imho scale the best at high levels. Usually with PK or TM
- Daggers are finicky, never was a fan of those. People play them with TC
- Hammers are just overkill. Satisfying overkills. PK or TM here
